According to the results of a sociological survey 142 students of Moscow Engineering Physics Institute. The survey showed a high computer literacy of students: 98% of respondents are able to work on the computer. As well, 21% of students are able to work on the "user" level, 32% - at the level of "power user", and 47% at "power user with programming elements"! The 97% of students have a computer at home, 59% of students use the computer every day, 27% - several times a week, 14% - rarely use the computer. Basically the first-year students use the computer to search for the right information (71%), preparation for classes (61%), 25% of freshmen students use the computer for dating.
