Of course, she is no more irresponsible than the guy who got her pregnant, but he does not carry a mark of it everywhere he goes so he is not treated any differently". (answers.yahoo.com, 2016) So because people think this girl is not responsible and has no morals she might find it difficult to seek employment in the future meaning she will never be able to better herself or her child. Once you have been 'labelled ' it is extremely difficult to shrug it off. The main criticism of this perspective is that it is restricted to studying small interactions that may seem trivial rather than attempting to understand society in general.
Another sociological perspective that we could use when discussing poverty is Conflict Theory (Macro), this shows the inequalities in different groups within Society. As a result of the Curriculum of Excellence, children and young people can for the first time learn how to manage their money and have a better understanding of their finances.The Government have provided additional support and funding so that teacher 's are adequately trained to deliver financial education. This will hopefully result in less young people being in debt.
It also encourages employers to do in house training and they will be provided with additional funding from the Government through the Individual Learning Accounts Scotland scheme ensuring that employees in the three lowest income brackets are the first to receive this. It is hoped that this will help people realise their own potential.
