The movie starts off by tackling discrimination. The movie starts off by showing two African American guys walking out of a restaurant believing that they were being discriminated by their waitress. They mentioned that the waiter was ignoring them and not attending to them because they were too busy attending the “white” folks who would actually tip unlike the black. So, they thought they were not getting the ideal service based on an assumption. As a couple were walking toward the two black men, the women hold on tight to her belongings and puts her arm around her husband for protection. She was judging them because they were black people in a white based community. She did not know who they were but still feared their intentions, she was prejudice. Racism was also brought up to when the Arab father and daughter were trying to purchase a gun. As the father did not spoke nor understand English sufficiently, his daughter began to translate for him with their native language. The gun store owner became offended and racist toward the father kicking him out and shouting out racial slurs to him. Another time frame told in this movie provided evidence of sexual harassment by superiors of normal civilians. As a couple drove home they get pulled over, not for the fact that they were speeding or their car was in search but for the male officer to feel and touched a woman with the presence of her own husband humiliating him. The police officer was also being sexist because he literally had complete control of her body even though she had the right to say something but couldn’t because the police officer had all the power during that situation. Also, hate crimes are brought up when an unknown person breaks in and steals the Arabs family store, writing racial slurs about their ethnicity up on the wall. Cultural Privilege rules different classes of people, meaning more benefits are giving to those who are at the top
