Sociocultural has an influence on the food choices we make in our daily life. Sociocultural means of, pertaining to, or signifying the combination or interaction of social and cultural elements. The people and places we are around influence the food we eat as people.
Economics have an influence on what food choices we make. The price of some healthy foods compared to the options of unhealthy foods are different in prices. For example the healthier option of a frozen treat would be frozen yogurt and the unhealthy alternative would be ice cream. Ice- cream is 26cents per 100mL and frozen yogurt is 88cents per 100mL. The healthier option is dearer as these days more people are trying to be healthy and the frozen yogurt will make more money but if economic problems came into place ice- cream would be easier. Females are commonly known for worrying about body weight and usually are likely to choose smaller meals to eat such as vegetables and fruit.
