Can the average social media user live without exploring social media every hour? Social media is extremely popular among the teenagers, and it affects not only teenagers but other ages as well. The effects of social platforms have on teenagers are not sleeping, females are concerned about their image, and social skills. Social media is a good place because people are using the social network to have fun when they connect with other users. Moreover, internet users appreciate the attention they are receiving from people about their most recent post. People consume social media to share their relationship troubles, update their status, or see what other users are posting. People consume social media by browsing throughout the day or tagging other users in their post. Everyone always caught up on what is going with the next person or the latest gossip. When a person is exploring social networks, they are fascinated by what another person is posting. For example, when a person explores on social media they view only a certain social media profile. This certain profile can be an ex-boyfriend or enemies of a local high school. Also, a user posts their private lives on the social networks. Then, an Instagram account name “The Shaderoom” which informs everyone the newest gossip on celebrities. Who would not appreciate the most creative gossip on their well-known icon? In Dr. Phil Bartle training handout states that, “When a community has more Gemeinschaft, it can be miserable to live in when everybody knows your business, where gossip is a strong force for keeping people in order, and where there is little freedom to act or dress in eccentric ways”(Bartle, Beware of Romanticizing Community). Gemeinschaft is a relationship with family and friends. The social network is full of people who use gossip to control one another. Gossip, itself reveals when someone posts or tweets something negative. For example, there was once two best friends name Monica and Sarah.
