Students who attend virtual high schools miss out mostly on socialization. They do not have that face-to-face conversation with other students on a daily basis. Instead, these students have to go out of their way to socialize and often loose touch with their friends back from school. Also, the students cannot see their teachers in person. They have to communicate with them through the computer and often do not meet their teachers until the end of the year. Everything is virtual and these students miss out on basic things like teacher mailboxes and classrooms. When these loners and nonconformists are no longer part of the normal campus, other students cannot bully them or taunt them into being normal. The other students now are working with
