France being a republic type government, it gave the French congress power to make changes in the constitution for the two chambers of parliament. Furthermore, France is divided into branches of government which is; the executive, legislative, and judiciary branch. The Executive branch is runned by the president being the head of state and head of the executive. The president has a total of two terms, and is the commander of the military, but determines all policies with Council Ministers, the president is in charge of choosing a minister. The prime minister is in charge of forming a government and determines policy to put new legislations to become bills before the Parliament. The Legislative Branch has two houses of chambers which is the; lower and principal house of parliament that takes part in the national assembly, the second chamber is the Senate. Senators are elected by passed members of local elected representatives and takes at most two rounds of the parliamentary election. The first round says that a candidate can be elected as long as they have majority vote, and the second round is a runoff between two or more candidates. Members of the Parliament are elected every five years. It sounds nice, but, its dangerous and it would be bad if the United States becomes a socialist country, by comparing and contrasting both differences from France and United States we can see that socialism occurs for these reasons; France being a socialist country decreases economic growth, having a strong economy like the United States is important so that it can provide jobs, tax revenues, and a better living for everyone like the homeless, poor, and middle class. France stifles freedom of speech, this is very dangerous because if you think about it, the reason why people in America have and choose the right to have opinions and arguments about the government its because of the first amendment, free speech, the ability to have and say what you feel is right and wrong, whether its for your country or against another. Also, it leads to having a tyrannical government, which means that the more socialism you have, the less freedom you get, because people who live in a socialist country don’t have the right to say what they want, if they do, it will cause the country to fail, and lose the power to control the government without socialism.
