Social Workers

The purpose of this reaction paper is to examine the thoughts and feelings of the readings for the interjection of opinion. As I close out the textbook Handbook of International Social Work I feel very blessed to have had the opportunities to gain knowledge of the operations of Social Work on a global scale. There are a lot of issues that Social Workers combat daily, the fight for human rights is something that is of the utmost significance. As Social Workers, it is our duty to establish relationships, bridge gaps and meet the needs of individuals, groups, and communities through all platforms of utilization. Practitioners also ensure the security of individuals, groups, and communities. By lobbying for human’s rights on scales that develop and modify policies, that protect vulnerable populations globally. Social Workers additionally provide emotion support through empathy and dignity and worth of a person. Empowering through aiding client’s in achieving set goals that have been set forth, that bring about change either in their life or the life of a community.
Social justice, equality, and human rights is an ongoing battle but is making strides with the help and support of global organizations. Council and funding is very significant in the role of accomplishing the goals. Even though the problem is an ongoing battle, making the world conscious of the issue has shed light on the problems, and that is causing social change. The philosophies and notions that aid the profession of Social Work, offers the framework necessary to practice both domestically and internationally. The global issues that are prevalent can be combatted, with
