I feel this dilemma is very controversy, because as a social worker we need to keep client inform consent unless is the harm to self or harm others then we need to report. In this case is an indirect way because AID is not self-harm or harms for other in psychically. Also, the client has self-determination, and we cannot make any decision for him. I see which states I am working because the different law has a different policy about the AIDS. But I will talk with the client hope he will tell his partner. If he still did not want to talk to his partner about I will respect his decision. Because client have self-determination and there is no law about HIV and their partner that can break the confidential unless the HIV client wants to rape or
