Yes, the career I’m pursuing is social worker and substance abuse counselor. When researching the social worker career, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics social worker jobs will increase by 19%, by the year 2022. And that many non-traditional organizations will be utilizing the social worker to help incorporate polices covering Corporate Social Responsibilities, safety, health of the employees, company finances as well. The reason being is that the social worker has knowledge concerning human behavior, interpersonal relationships, motivation and the challenges faced in the workplace (The Guardian, 2014)

Security or counterintelligence consultants in the private sector are the counter parts to Public Sector Counterintelligence Analyst Experienced Associate; they work in many different areas such as the environmental, security, occupational safety and technology.
Treasury agency analyst/bank manager both are responsible for maintaining financial documentation accounts receivable and payable, reporting system, banking fees, predicting cash flow and maintaining banking relationship (Indeed.com, 2015).

Skills learned as a social worker will make me marketable in my future career, these skills would include my ability to communication effectively, through my writing and verbal ability, training in conflict resolution, and working with others effectively, above average interpersonal skills, working as a team, and being flexible. Training would have taught me to be organized, being attentive to the issues at hand, prioritize my workload. Maintaining my personal development and learning skills by showing my experience in creating care plans that implementing programs for the success of my client. Knowing that with continuous improvement of my skill and training will benefit me and the organization I work for (Floren, 1998).

Yes the position could lead to a government job later in my career, if I choose to pursue it. However, the direction I mapped out for my career will consist of me working in the public sector; I choose this direction because I feel that it will benefit the client that I serve on a more sustainable level for them.
