I had always wanted to be a Social Worker because I wanted to make an impact in others’ lives. Throughout my life I have been the type of person that people want to talk to when they are having problems. I’m not sure why. Maybe it is because I listen when people want to talk to me. My mother tells me that I have a loving spirit and that attracts people to me. I’m not sure about that, but I do know that I have a passion to want to help people in my community. If you would like to become a social worker you need to go to a 4 years of college. After you received you bachelor degree. Social workers are responsible for helping individuals, families, and groups of people to cope with problems they’re facing to improve their patients’ lives. One aspect of this is teaching skills and developing mechanisms for patients to rely on to better their lives and experiences. However, many social workers find that direct counseling of patients, families, and groups is only one aspect of their broader set of responsibilities. They also engage in research, policy development and advocacy for services. And of course, social workers must maintain case history records and prepare reports. Social work can be the kind of job that requires a great deal of overtime, and separating the emotional aspects of the job from the duties required can be a difficult undertaking. But there are plenty of resources, including websites, books and social media users that can offer great advice.

One of my strengths that will help me be a great social worker is my passion to help people. This was a strong family value that came from the example my parents showed me. An additional strong trait that I have is my ability to work well in stressful situations. I can keep a cool head when others are losing control. These qualities, combined with the right education and experience, will take my career as a social worker to no
