PER REPORTER: Andrea said this morning when Trayton arrived at school his teacher (MS. Saucier) noticed he had a red mark on the right side of his neck. Andrea said Ms. Saucier reported asking the child what happened to his neck and he responded back by saying “my daddy it my daddy it my daddy put a rope around my neck”. Andrea said Trayton also told Ms. Mathis who is also a teacher at the daycare the same thing he told Ms. Saucier. Andrea said Ms. Mathis then came and got her to inform her about the allegations the child reported. Andrea mentioned that she then went to talk to the child but first played with so he would feel comfortable talking. Andrea said Trayton told her the same thing he told Ms. Saucier and Ms. Mathis when she spoke with …show more content…
It is also unknown how often the child’s father puts ropes around his neck or if there were any witnesses around when the abuse took place. Andrea said she believes the child’s mother is aware of the situation because a staff member/relative by the name of (Cindy) contacted them regarding the allegations. It is unknown what the child’s mother said to the child’s father about his behavior towards the child or what she did about the situation. However, Andrea said according to Cindy they play like that and the child’s father said they were playing when Trayton got caught up in the new rope he bought. Andrea said the mark on Trayton’s neck looks like a carpet burn but she said the child has not been complaining of being in pain. Andrea mentioned that the abuse had to have occurred yesterday evening or when the child left school. It is unknown at this time if the child’s father has ever done anything to the other child in the home with the family. Andrea also mentioned that Ms. Saucier asked Trayton if he was being a good boy or a bad boy when the situation occurred.
