Reflection On Fair Feedback

Improved Essays
Overall, I received fair feedback. Although I was able to hit most of the skills from each category there were a few that I missed from each. During the actual practice I was very focused on not messing up and hitting the key points. However, once I was finished and recapping over the session I realized both strengths I have developed and challenges I still need to work on. This experience showed me what I have have learned thus far in class and also what I still have to learn. From what I personally thought and from reviewing my notes that the observers took, a few of the strengths I found were as follows. The biggest strength I think that I have developed is my understanding skills. Throughout the semester and then again during the demonstration …show more content…
It lined up with what I find to be my strengths and also what I find to be the things I need to work on. It showed that I show strength in both understanding and attending. Both observers marked almost every mark in these sections of my evaluation. To me, this was not a big surprise because I find these two areas to kind of go hand in hand. I found these to be more natural when talking with the client because this is how I am in my daily life. I have always been the type of person to teeter between empathy and sympathy. I truly just have a love for people and that is am big reason I chose social work.
The observers were also spot on with the areas I struggle with. I only got about half of the marks on beginning skills on both sheets. Although I love people, when I am forced to take the lead I sometimes become nervous. The more in depth we got, the more comfortable I become and that will show in the way I open up. However, I need to work on hiding the fear of messing up in the

Although we have been practicing all semester, this was different. To me, this was the first time it felt real. It helped me realize that I do have a lot to learn but it also gave me a little more confidence in myself. I was very timid going into it, I felt worried that I was going to screw up and not know what to say. Of course, I did not do perfect by any means at all. But, I did show strengths that I did not necessary realize I had developed yet. It also showed me the things that I still need to work on as

    6. This question, like question 4, is hard for me to answer because I don’t feel that there was a teaching strategy that was non-helpful. The weekly discussions were great and I enjoyed being able to conduct my responses as like a letter written to the ‘teacher’. I took my peers responses to my post very seriously and tried to understand their point of view. Again, I thought all assignments were beneficial to my learning and I feel like I have learned a great deal of information.…

Leaving off and not having anyone there in touchable reach was another fieldstone that didn’t help the thoughts. Not having as much as my peers in the high school years made me strive for better and now I have all that I could ask for and more. The statement can be said that meeting this new guy makes up for the time that I missed and was all alone. Gives me a chance to start another good thing and bounce off of the goodness he has as well. My eye opening experience assisted me in gaining the new person that was inside of me all along.…

Critical thinking is meaningful to me as it was hard to accomplish and perfect. Before high school, I was not one who could get things done quickly; I always took my time in getting things done, which did not help whatsoever in many different scenarios. My development of critical thinking has changed that dramatically. I find myself accomplishing everything in little amounts of time. It not only is meaningful, it is also beneficial.…

All the classes were are almost always fun and not boring to where I would just want to sleep through. I'm pretty sure i speak for all of us when i say we learned a lot more than we do in other classes. Like i said earlier though we learned more than just science. We learned the values like getting work done on time, teamwork is key, and to be what Mr.Pj calls the students profile or what a student should be. When I mean getting work done on time, I mean Mr.Pj would always push you to finish your work not for his sake to grade it, but for you to understand what…

The assessment in my internship was very structure and we also were provided with training that made it easy to complete. Our internship has an assessment sheet that walked us through necessary questions. The first portion of the assessment requested a clear statement of the needs and problem or situation. Then we organized them by priority and make a list of needs. The hardest part of the assessment was the strength portion for many clients it was had to come up with strengths and future goals but in the discussions it became easy to pull strengths and identify goals from clients.…
