It was hectic. I am aware that this career could be challenging but at the same time very rewarding, as you know at the end of the day you have achieved something. So it is vital to have an outgoing and friendly personality, not to be quick tempered. I also, understand that there is a lot of responsibility involved, as it is not only looking and delivering the best care for individuals but also their relatives. Counselling them and being considerate and respectful about their opinions, cultural, values and beliefs.
In school, we had a work related learning day; professional Social Workers, explained aspects of their work; it was interesting. Being able to the have chance to gain several knowledge about how this career deals with problems and help people, from different age groups as well as unborn. Also, during school, an assembly took place informing and explaining how child abuse is dealt and this reminded me about the career I wanted to do. It was helpful as they explained the process of assisting a child at risk. I am sure I want to support young children and
