Moreover, I want a major change in the weekly event calendar in which the revision must include different types of tours and awareness seminars per week. Different sessions\lectures of the psychologists should be arranged in the centre for their psychological assistance. I would like to see the older people engaged in different activities all the time to decrease the rate of acting out. Moreover, I want to see them relax and able to manage their distress caused due to their growing age. I also want them to decrease their social isolation by increasing their chances to interact with the society and other people. The increasing …show more content…
The rationale behind arranging the seminars and discussions is to make the older people aware of their old age and its changes in the person. Moreover, it will help in the interaction of older people with different people which will decrease their social isolation. This is evident from the disengagement theory of aging that when people get older they become socially isolated and adopt with drawl from the society (Cornwell & Waite, 2009). This change will give them insight regarding their issues and to give them chances to enjoy their life and leisure time. Moreover, it will help them in sharing their feelings and catharsis to a reliable person …show more content…

Then they will be distributed in different homes and public places for advertisement. The staff will be asked to educate and guide the patrons about the changes going to be incorporated in the day care centre for their betterment.
5. I will remove the obstacle of shortage of staff for effective performance and arrangement of different activities by increasing 5 more staff members. I will encourage the staff that change is the sign of life and is essential for living the life so they must try to bring changes in their routine and in the system. Moreover, the staff will be encouraged by giving them examples of different successful day care centers and the satisfaction of resident of those centers.
6. I will devise a plan of 1 week to check the consequences and success of that plan on the betterment of the people.
