Clients need to know if a case is taken to court the social worker duty is to be honest to the judge and has the responsibility to be honest to the court. Social workers have the duty to continue to enhance their professional skill. The court can be intimidating and social works may feel like this, but to grow as a professional social worker shouldn’t shy away from intimidation things such as the court because it could enhance social workers skills professionally. As social works, we have an ethical duty to have a commitment to our clients. Social workers’ primary duty is to help the well-being of clients. Social workers’ responsibility to the larger society or specific legal obligations may on limited occasions replace the loyalty owed clients, and clients should be advised (National Association of Social Workers, n.d).
