Sandy married at the age of nineteen which back than that normal and expected for most. They bought a house together in Royal Oak, Michigan and a few years later bought a home in Warren, Michigan where her family lived for the next fourteen years. After marrying her husband they became pregnant with their first daughter and quickly had two more after that.
