Carson is a seventeen-year-old Caucasian high school junior of average height and slightly overweight. He is very friendly and involved in his church and lives with his supportive parents and two older sisters. He is below grade level in reading and written expression skills and has a very distinct stuttering problem. He tends to be a loner and has few friends. He has support services at school and sees a speech therapist weekly. He is studying on-level curriculum at his public high school and subjects he enjoys are construction technology and math. According to his mother, Carson was always a little different from other children and preferred to be alone, unlike his outgoing sisters.
