BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Care DMM. Selected candidates are required to attend and pass interview.
The course is a 4 year course at Glasgow Caledonia University. (GCU 2015) once the course has concluded and the qualified social worker must register with the the SSSC (Scottish Social Service Council). A fee of £30 is demanded for registration.

To become qualified as in occupational therapy it is mandatory for 1000 hours of placement under supervision of a qualified occupational therapist to be complete during the course as it will help to obtain necessary experience needed. Higher qualifications are required in this profession as it has a high level of competition for places than that of a social worker Once qualified and a BSc is awarded registration to work in within this profession cannot be obtained until registered with the HCPC. The occupational therapist registration fees are £400.(HCPC 2015)
