These ethics and values are important for social workers to go by because we face ethical dilemmas every day and these 6 core values can help us make decisions with ethical issues. At Homestead hospice, not everyone has to go by the code of ethics. At Homestead, there is different professional roles and they go by their own ethics and values. The hospice team includes hospice physicians, registered nurses, LPN, social workers, bereavement counselors, volunteers, dietitians, and therapist. Each profession has their own ethics and values to go by but I have witnessed the social workers at Homestead follow these ethics.
