Social Work At Head Start

After graduating from the social work program, I plan to obtain a master's degree. With this degree, I want to specialize in elementary school social work. In the search for a job this year, I came across a work-study job for a reading tutor at Head Start. While having the privilege to work at Head Start, it has allowed me to gain experience through the children and staff. I am thankful for this job for it has taught me knowledge about social workers in their facility. Despite the demanding challenges that come along with working with children, the rewards are much greater. My compassion for working with a young age group has allowed me to do my part in bettering the community. One of the most challenging aspects of this job is solving conflicts
