Design details which dictate the corporate identity of the company are the company colours. Therefore the Tray International red is used for the fabric on the office chairs.

The modern work space, is constantly being reinvented and aims to cater for the employees needs. The information gathered consisted of interviewing knowledgeable experienced designers based in the interior design industry. Further research entailed a detailed case study of an immense office campus in Vienna/Austria, which gave real insight into how an open and healthy environment should be designed.
The challenges faced during the research and design process included:
• Unwilling employees to answer the questionnaire during the data collection phase;
• The roof structure in the space was challenging to understand and reduced the design of the mezzanine;
• The fact that Tray International is a very paper bound company and still uses large file cabinets;
• Not being able to find out the absenteeism rate from Tray International, due to company confidentiality.
The research aspect began with exploratory measures, trying to understand and find existing theories which would relate to and support the project. Interesting topics were identified that were entirely applicable to the context. Combining the theories and primary data helped form a suitable concept model for such a context framework which can be applicable for not only corporate design, but also residential and hospitality
