In Hilary Cottam Ted Talk, Social Services are Broken. How can we Fix them (2016), she discussed strengthening the power of relationships to solve the deep and complex social problems that has been occurring over centuries. Based off research done in the United Kingdom, Cottam explains that interventions that have been put in place to help families that fall into crisis for many years have no end goal insight and they are not dealing with the underlying issue. She went on to explain that most front line workers spend 86% of their time servicing the system. The other 14% that the front line workers spend with the client is utilized by retrieving more data for the system. Consequently, the front line workers are not able to have a normal conversation,
