Social Reinforcement Paper

I work as a Residential Support Specialist in a Residential Treatment Facility (RTF). The company is very big with positive reinforcer and positive reinforcement because we deal with individuals with high challenging behavior. I normally used this practice to reinforce some of our client’s challenging behaviors.

EX: Johnny is an individual with very high challenging behaviors. Johnny likes like social reinforcement such as high fives and fist bumps whenever Johnny is not engaging in challenging behaviors (self-injurious behavior, aggression etc). Every five minutes, Johnny is given high five or a fist bump for not engaging in challenging behavior.
