47). Parents living with ADHD children find it hard to interact with others. Some parents feel upset when “other adults often appeared to be intolerant” (Moen et al. p. 450). Some parents become so frustrated that they stop going out with that particular child diagnosed of ADHD or the family stop going out to restaurants, churches, or public places altogether. Moen et al. say that it “It hurts when the child is excluded from playing and visiting other children, because their parents thought he or she was disruptive and naughty or because the children were weary of the child’s acting-out behavior (p. 450).
