In terms of moral issues happening in the movie, we would choose the life issue as this movie shows a few scene that is unacceptable. First and foremost, the movie started when Jack Slater’s cousin was threaten by Tony Vivaldi and caused him to seriously injure. He then set a bomb on his body and consequently killed two police officers. According to the moral issue, life we have learnt in class, life is a very precious gift given by God. We should appreciate our own life or even other people’s life instead of finish our live in an immoral way. The beginning of this movie shows a bad example regarding to the life issue we learnt in class. We should have protect our life and live it to fullest. Next, when Jack Slater confronts Ripper who is holding Slater's son Andy hostage with a chopping axe on the roof, Ripper tells Slater to put his pistol down. Slater complies, but Ripper isn't satisfied to find that his foe only has one gun with him. Slater reluctantly then removes his pocket knife and the other pistols he is carrying on his person. He then orders Andy to pick up the grenade and hand it to him. He tells Slater that while the grenade won't hurt Andy, his axe will. This act is seen as a not respectful to life. One should not easily end other people’s life as life is the most precious thing. Ripper’s act to pull Slater’s son down from the building is the selfish act as Slater’s son is still a children and he is innocent. Ripper should respect the meaning of life and do something that is
