Web 2.0, Social Media and networking are important tools in how we communicate and do business. There exist many social networks each having their own purpose. Some social media networks are for socializing with friends, family, and co-workers others are for seeking information, employment or business opportunities. A big concern with social media and networking is our safety.
When it comes to social media, sharing, and accessing information my sources state that WordPress is a good site for blogging. Another web application they recommend for employment or business opportunities is LinkedIn. Their main choice for socializing is Facebook and then. We should be cautious about what we post and know the security risks. While we use social medias we are at risk by being exposed to hackers, online fraudsters, and viruses or malware.
Social media has a dark side what you post can be used against you when trying to gain employment or getting into a school. It can even cause you to lose employment. Another problem you face on social media is being a victim of cyberbullying. A cyberbully can cause damage to a person's career and reputation.
Social networks like Facebook are a great way to stay in contact with friends, family, and co-workers. They offer many different ways to communicate and share with others. Other web applications such as Google and Wiki give you access to unlimited information you may need now or in the future.
Social networks make it possible for us to reach out to others whether it be personal, professional, or business. When we use social networks we need to use caution what we post that it does not affect us or other people.
