There’s a small area between USA and Canada, and it’s really amazing. It’s a small forest where there’s a river with water so pure that you can simply drink out of it. There’s only peace and harmony. Trees bigger and stronger than giants. A place that simply feels unreal. You can feel the cool breeze slightly moving through every inch of your body and filling the lungs with pure clean oxygen. It’s a sensation that’s so addictive that you won’t want to leave. It fills you with tranquility, as if it was magic, and time is not an issue. It is only you in a place that one would call heaven. That small place makes forget everything and shows you the big picture that life without nature is not life. Unfortunately, places like this are perishing because of our actions. We should not be so selfish and try to preserve these kind of places so future generations can have the wonderful experience that nature provides. We are causing so much pollution only for one “needs”. In reality we are killing ourselves. Humanity thinks that this world is ours and we can use it however we want. Fineman mentions what our ancestors though of the land. He states, “It was ours to use or use up-a disposable commodity, not a sacred place” (Fineman 214). Now look what has happened to our landscapes, our atmosphere, the ocean level, everything is getting worse. We don’t see pollution as a treat because “much of our country’s prosperity and growth has been colorfully carbon based” (Fineman223). As a country we should learn from our mistakes and take an action to prevent our down fall. Fireman said something very true that we should do, “It is an inheritance that we must use, but that we must find a way to use without endangering ourselves by filling the air with the pollution that fossil fuels create” (Fineman223). Instead of poisoning ourselves we should come up with a solution that would help both our pockets and mother Earth. I recently read in the International Energy Agency that, “In the 40 years that in which the
