There are various aspects related to how social media has made its impact inside the classroom. Social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook are useful resources that new generations have been adapting too for the past decades; also, they have a great impact on how society tends to work today. This has been passed or transferred into classrooms at most of the schools located on developed nations. Nevertheless, these sources are not perfect and in some cases do not work exactly the way they where intended to. For instance, students find ways to cheat or facilitate their job, and this should not be permitted, but most of the time it is hard to catch a cheating student. The information that appears in your homepage of Twitter for example will be aligned with your own interests; this could be politics, sports, nightlife, and basically whatever your interests are. “Social media sites provide an avenue for students to easily contact one another regarding school projects, group assignments or for help on homework assignments.” Thus, if a person creates a Twitter account and wants to be aware of what happens on the presidential elections, then this person will have to ‘follow’ accounts related to this matter. For instance, if you are a Donald Trump supporter for the presidential campaign of 2016, then what you need to do if search for people related to news about politics and even the candidate himself. Moreover, companies and channels also have social media coverage; Twitter is todays’ newspaper, but better. Even though there might be people who use these networks in a wrong way to cheat or to give false information, I consider them to be more resourceful than a bad source. Most of the time the positivism or negativism of the usage of it depends on the user. With these two social media platforms we can work even in a more effective, accurate and cheaper way with our instructors with course –related material that will enhance the student even more outside the
