What Impact Does Social Media Have On Teens? Social media has become an influential versatile in the lives of today youth. With social media becoming more advanced and even more addictive for the youth of today. Some might just say it’s more than just a hobby. It’s a lifestyle. Adolescences is a period that is very important for social learning which could explain why teens are often more tuned in to what's going on in their respective cultures. According to Lauren Sherman thinks we may even be learning to read likes and shares instead of facial expressions. Social media should be limited due to cyberbullying, suicide, false news reports.

People should minimize the use social media because it causes too many distractions. According to the article, Tweens identified as children spend about 6 hours on average consuming media (Wallace). Kids spend way too much time devoting their attention to social media then being productive. It just shows you that these kids live in this massive 24/7 digital media technology world and it’s snapping every aspect of their life. They spend far much time with media technology than any other thing in their life. This is the dominant in intermediary in their life (Wallace).
