The website is called: Reach Out, it’s a professional website about young people, this is good for my question as I am looking at young adults and the effects of social media on them. Although many points made are fair and in some ways correct, other sources have shown stronger arguments against these ideas. This source is very bias towards the deliberation; it claims that social media "empowers" young people and connects them to eachother. It also says that it gives young adults a voice; aswell as this, it gives them a chance to develop into "social participants" and "active citizens". I believe that although many can agree this is true it doesn’t help children to become social as technology is a wall in the garden of communication.
My third source was: Social Media's Potential Influence on Eating Disorders. It contains statistics and talks a lot about body image and social trends. This very useful as it covers many aspects that I need for an over view of social media and eating disorders. I feel that this is very bias to the debate and the writer definetly believes that social media has a bad influence on teenagers mental health and well being.
