Social media is making it easier for bullies to bully and it is making an increase in teen suicides. According to Schulzk “And many experts fear that the rapid rise of social media has made bullying and harassment among teens both easier and more damaging. In 2011, a Centers for Disease Control survey found that 22 percent of girls and 11 percent of boys had been bullied on social media in the past year” (Schulzke). Social media is making it easier for student to get bullied and easier for bullies to bully. Cyber-bullying has increased because of more social media sites and of course teenager are going to get on them. Teenagers aren’t speaking out about being bullied over social media which is causing an increase in teen suicides.
