74% of people in today 's world uses some kind of social media. Whether it is facebook, or instagram, or even just the internet, people all around the world are using some type of social networking. Everyone knows about the conspiracy between if our social media is really private or if someone can see everything we do. As you are going to see in my paper, there are many benefits to the social networking privacy, but there are also many risks involved. When you log onto any of your social media sites you are immediately in a risking situation. Anything you do and post can be leaked to anyone in the entire world and once it is out there you can not get it back. If you are applying for a job it takes just one google search and your employer can find out whatever they want about you. They can see what you post and what you say and that can determine if you get the job or not. Parents have taught their kids since they were young, stranger danger. Kids are not the only ones who have to worrying about strangers because anyone can lie on the internet and so you cannot trust anyone. People tend to overshare on their social media which gives the criminals a look into other people 's lives. When people post vacation pictures and saying how long they will be gone gives burglars the perfect house to rob. When anyone post pictures their is hidden information in the pictures that they do not think about but people that are watching them can see. Make sure to check your background before posting a picture, just to make sure no one can tell where you are. The most common risk on social networking is cyberbullying, because people think that they can say whatever they want to someone else since they do not have to talk in person.
