One of the most important functions of peer relationships is to provide a source of information about the world (Santrock, 2014. P.302). Also it is important for parental management of peer relationships. Especially on the social media networks sites. NBC show “To Catch a Predator” clearly illustrates the alleged pedophiles and their many walks of life. For instance, many teens are not comfortable enough to engage in physical sexual activity in person, but are more comfortable to participate in sexual activity online. According to Krämer & Winter (2008) study it revealed that introverted and shy adolescents have a preference for online communication (p.113).
