In Web 1.0 (WWW), the users could only view or download the data or content that was posted on the website. But with the advent of web, in web 2.0, users have more control over the content posted on the web, they can exert real time control also. The Web 2.0 has more of a social nature than web 1.0. Therefore, the social networking sites are covered under this technology. The businesses mentioned in the extract were Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, MySpace, Twitter, Linkedin and Ning.
