In this day and age people need to be open and accepting of others and the changes going on in society. My generation does exactly that. We are almost always accepting of diversity and other changes within our society, we do not fight it, we do all we can to embrace it. We try and stay open-minded because we have grown up in a time where drastic changes are happening all the time, allowing us to be accepting towards gay marriage, different races/sexes, etc. which all in all makes us a diverse generation. Being as connected as we are, we know when a tragedy, disaster, or a sports draft occurs almost immediately. Allowing us to stay up-to-date on what’s going on around us and how we should act or express ourselves. Also, it gives us access to promote campaigns, advertise, and educate all those who are also connected. Enabling people to be well informed on what they may be eating, voting for, paying for, or learning. There are obviously some cons to being so connected to social media as well, but that’s not what we are here to talk about. My generation is not all lazy, ignorant, and selfish. In an abundance of ways we may be superior to other generations. I have clearly shown just a small taste as to why my generation is not as unsuccessful as an abundance may think, yes there are numerous cons to my generation, but that’s all generations it’s just that mine is the one most talked about so the older generations can blame someone. Overall, society is stuck with us and we are the future, it will change to how we see fit and that’s
