Ever since the wheel had become part of the stone ages; technology has progressed at a rapid pace for the humans to use and make their lives more leisurely than before. In modern days this relaxation period has turned into an anti-social environment where nobody talks to each other face-to-face but text or instant message each other and never go into a genuine human interaction with one another. Human interactions have been decreasing ever since the smart phone became available to the public. When you look up from your device you see the world in front of you and what it has to offer you. Sure there is a way on the Internet to see what’s in front of you without having to ever leave your house but that isn’t the same as having the experiences and relentless memories that the mind holds on for the continuation of the life being lived. The concept of texting or calling another person across the world is a fair idea that may be useful for many people who live across oceans from one another. But, it will never compare to the social conversations he/she would have with the friend or companion if they were in front of him/her at that very moment. Being isolated by texting and calling on the phone fills the social hole for him/her but there is always the wanting to be with each other only a few feet away not an ocean away. All you have to do is put down the device, go out and live the life you want to live not just sit in a room and play with the Internet and become isolated from the rest of the world focusing on a little screen. A human interaction between two people face-to-face creates a bond that society has cast away by using their smartphones and computers to create a world where all you do is look at a screen for hours on end and never have to actually talk to

We were once a communal species, hunting, gathering, and foraging for the benefit of ourselves and those around us. Although we moved away from a society formed on the mutual needs for survival we continue the practice of asking our neighbors for help when we are knees deep in a cookie recipe, stranded without eggs. However even this once commonplace practice of neighborly interaction is developing into a thing of the past, a mindset derived on mutual need has devolved into one centered solely on each individual. Our “We” mentality has been transfigured into a mindset precariously fixated on “me and mine”. As technology continues to develop, we dive deeper into the abyss of apathetic behavior, favoring a conversation through text than face to face human interaction, or liking a picture of a newborn on Facebook instead of holding that newborn in person.…

The study of human interaction is a field that affects every person on this planet, and yet so many people have turned a blind eye to the distance that emerging technologies are forcing in between each other. In order to bring about true social realization and change, writers in this field need to focus on attracting…
