Social media plays a vital role in today 's society. With social media, people can get in contact with their friends and family, keep up with current news or just spend time browsing and such. Each social media sites have a specific purpose even though they all seem the same. In the battle between social media sites, the two big players, Facebook and Twitter are becoming more like the other and their differences might cause one to become more popular than the other.

Each social network sites have specific settings and certain things that people can do when using the site. People can post a profile picture and a biography on both Facebook and Twitter and also their location. Facebook let users post their relationship status, birthdates, hometown and current location, the school they went to and even where they worked. On the other hand, Twitter only lets user share their location, birthdates, and a biography of anything else they wish to let others know. People can make

On Facebook people can write as much and as long as they want, but Twitter is limited to only one hundred and forty characters per word posts. Facebook have various privacy settings and let users choose a specific audience who can see their posts such as only friends, friends of friends, custom (just specific people), or just for everyone to see. On the other hand, Twitter only has two type of privacy settings: private and public. On Facebook, users normally need to be approved by the person user in order to add the user as a friend or send a message him or her. In contrary, twitter is more open and let people follow each other and message each other without getting approved. Unlike Twitter, Facebook let the user play video games on the site on a computer. People can sign in into games using either Facebook or Twitter, however, only Facebook let users play within the
