Social media plays a vital role in today 's society. With social media, people can get in contact with their friends and family, keep up with current news or just spend time browsing and such. Each social media sites have a specific purpose even though they all seem the same. In the battle between social media sites, the two big players, Facebook and Twitter are becoming more like the other and their differences might cause one to become more popular than the other.

Each social network sites have specific settings and certain things that people can do when using the site. People can post a profile picture and a biography on both Facebook and Twitter and also their location. Facebook let users post their relationship status, birthdates, hometown and current location, the school they went to and even where they worked.
