After the implausible develop of technology, social medias such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn plays indispensable roles of our lives. In fact, there are three billion of Internets users in the world, which takes more than 45 percent of total population. Among the heavy Internet users, nearly 2.1 billion of people have some type of social media accounts in their smartphone or tablet. Social media is crucial to our society because Sally Kohn from TED talk “Don’t like clickbait? Don’t click”, demonstrate that clicking is no longer a private act, it is a public act that more of what we click and see often gets attention shapes our culture and society. Some states that social media can be use on educational tool or learning and experiences new materials by allowing students and teachers to provide the place connect and interact outside of the classroom. Students nowadays have more than average people’s computer knowledge. Therefore, within social media teachers and professors can promote the development on collaborations work between classmates and discussion and exchanges ideas between students. These beneficial tools can student to enhance and participate more than in the classroom, especially students who are intimidated to raise their voice in front of other people. For example, in my high school English class, we had to complete the assignment on discussion board online. It was a great place to exchange ideas between students and teachers because students sometimes express themselves feeling better online rather than in formal. Moreover, social networking is no longer only place spend your intermission of your friend’s updates. It also prepares you for workforce in the future career. With LinkedIn, you can easily connect with someone who is looking for employment to find a job. Students can establish their professionalism on social media. I also follow and like the business pages on Facebook. They updates volunteer, internship and job opportunities and it is the easiest way for me to …show more content…
It is up to users whether you are making a right choice of using social media to benefit in your life. Regardless of all the negative impacts, many believe that positive impact still outweigh and plays huge impacts on our everyday
