Technology is ever growing within our society we as the consumers must be the ones to ensure that technology can be used to benefit society. The primary use of social media may be to create profiles of ourselves and share things we like while following other people who we may or may not know. It can be used to allow our friends to know any personal information we may want to share. We can display ourselves any way we want. It allows us to feel important and connect with people, but it has the capacity to have a bigger impact. It can spread information quickly whether the information is relevant. People at the café witnessed the incident, it was believed that Said had evidence that would incriminate those police officers. A Facebook page called “We Are All Khaled Said” was created with the pictures of his mutilated face. The pages intended purpose was to display the corruption of their society while appealing to the people in a firm manner. The page listed specific grievances: poverty, police abuse/corruption, dishonest media, high cost of education, high rates of employment, political corruption. The Page We are all Khaled Said was used as a means of successful protesting where it inspired followers with phrases that would easily be understood while also exposing viewers to injustice within their community. The page had 4 specific demands of what it believed would be the correct solution to improving their society. “listing four demands for the Mubarak regime—addressing poverty, ending emergency law, firing the country’s Interior Minister, and instituting term limits on the presidency and offers eight guidelines for protesting, in order to ensure safety and promote efficacy.” (Alaimo 2015) It also went about trying to offer guidelines for being nonviolent to its protesters. Other pages similar went about allowing people to be violent and that is why this page was different. This page would bring about great change in the future to come when it would have people mass protest in great numbers. This page was credited with a major force to bringing change to the events that took place on January 2011, where 18 days of protesting took place until the resignation of the president Hosni Mubarak took
