How Does Social Media Affect Society?

Imagine a world where anyone can shop, connect with people around the world, learn how to cook and find old friends all in one place, well, now there is such a place, Facebook.
The features Facebook has to offer is what has kept such an active audience for almost a decade.
Social media has become a part of the norm in society; so to no surprise Facebook has become one of its own power houses. Active users tend to choose one social media they devote all their time to. What attracts many users to Facebook is not the blue font and white background, instead what it has to offer such as, the easy set-up, messenger and the infamous wall that not only attracts internet users in the United States but also around the world. The trusting blue font and white background is not the only thing that has helped to attract internet users. Facebook has no registration fee nor does it take thirty minutes to make an account, in fact, according to Euson Lee, the author of “Computers in Human Behavior” stated “the average account is made within seven minutes” (Lee 5). The easy log in and easy way to manage a profile is why people still actively use Facebook.
