This other quote “Teenagers need to realize that society’s ideal body image is not achievable. The photos we see in magazines are not real either. Many people don’t realize that those photos have gone through many touch ups and have been airbrushed to make the models look perfect “(Society and Eating Disorders). All those photoshop pictures mess teenagers minds they all at times think everything is true from media mass ,when it isn’t .Therefore the aspect of that gets to the mind and most girls and guys want to end up looking like that .In other cases it may not persist of mass media it can also be because of bullying .The girls and guys don’t fit in into what they think that should be or not .They all have their opinions in my case photoshop isn’t right at all and mass media has a great part of leading to eating disorders of course as well. There is a bunch of everything that leads to it and we may not even notice it. Another thing is “Television shows featuring thin or very muscular actors make viewers feel like they need to look thin or be super fit in order to be successful “(Society and Eating disorders).Most television actors are averagely in shape there is hardly actors that are out of shape because their perspective is very important towards the media . The moment when Debbie stated that she was aware of what “pretty” means , it had me thinking of what her aspects meant and what she think that she isn’t or hardly part of what society calls pretty. The fact that most girls may think so much like her till they go to the point where their decision turns into a eating disorder ,little things like comments ,visualizations of being pretty etc can lead into something big without even knowing
