“No one knows hair better than a Sugar Bear!”
Social media is currently advertising and promoting a product that promises a sweeter way to healthy hair. I am sure you have seen your fair shares of ads on social media promoting SugarBearHair Vitamins and you have asked yourself, what is all this hype about and does it really work?
What are SugarBearHair Vitamins?
SugarBearHair Vitamins are the newest online product that claim to give you everything you need to grow the longest healthiest hair possible. The official SugarBearHair website claims to, “Grow longer and stronger hair, nourish your hair from within, improve overall health, increase hair strength and elasticity, and stop hair breakage.” These claims are not backed up by any scientific

Labdoor found that this product’s label contained discrepancies of more than 20% its ingredients, meaning that what the levels in a single gummie are not what the bottle label claims they are. The expected 5,000 mcg of Biotin were actually found to be around 8,500 mcg. This excess of Biotin doesn’t make hair growth more effective, nor is it unsafe to take too much. More surprisingly was the level of lead in this product. If the consumer sticks to the recommended daily dose of two gummy bears a day there is no problem, however if you are tempted to take one more then you will go over the California Prop. 65 limit for lead in a single day. This does not take in count all the other lead a consumer might ingest throughout the day.
Do they work?
Despite all its discrepancies SugarBear earned an A grade from the lab. Labdoor revealed that if an individual has deficiencies in their diet then they will see an effect in hair, skin, and nails with this product. Ironically it is worth noting that the nutrients a SugarBearHair gummie contains can all be found in a healthy balanced diet. While these vitamins are helpful, they are not necessary to achieve the same results as with a simple balanced

In todays society the media constantly shows and glamorizes the hair of other races outside of African Americans.
