Social Liberal Argument Analysis

When looking at political matters I could personally say that I could lean both ways if the argument is valid, or if I believe in the curtain issue. If I were to pick a political party that I consider myself, I would say that I’m Liberal. I have many different views on things and when looking at the values and beliefs of Liberal, I lean more to the left. When I took the political ideology quizzes, the quizzes also said that I am Liberal in many issues. Just as abortion I feel that marriage involves two people. If two people feel that they want to get married, I think that they should have to right to get married. I feel bringing up the argument that its wrong because the bible said so is incorrect. I feel that it should only be your personal opinion and that’s it; it shouldn’t affect anyone on a legal standpoint, because religion shouldn’t even be involved when dealing with legal situation. Religion is a private, personal, matter that shouldn’t affect anyone else. Finally physician aid in dying, or assisted suicide, I believe that assisted suicide should be legal. I feel that situations that assisted suicide would even be considered would have to be very serious. When a person knows that they are going to die and they are contempt in their life, they should have the right to decide how their life should end. Issues such as taxes, I feel that’s progressive taxation is a good thing in regulation. I feel that taxes should slightly rise with income. I feel that the more money you make there should be an increase in the amount of taxes you need to pay. I feel that it would help balance things, people shouldn’t be paying the same amount of taxes as someone making more then half of what they make. I feel that with people with high incomes pay the same and people with lower incomes, there would be more of a separation created. If the tax number is lower to help not overwhelm the lower income families than the high income families wont see much of an effect; but on the other hand if the taxes are raised to accommodate for the wealthy than the poor will have to struggle greatly to pay their taxes. Therefore, I feel that the taxes should rise with income to help with the economic separation. Another issue that I am liberal on is regulation of business. I feel that businesses should be regulated to an extent. I feel that monopolies are wrong. They affect national business everywhere. It makes it harder for anyone else to have any economic power in that field and there is no possible way for them to become a competitor to the monopoly. I feel that there should be different restrictions placed on businesses to prevent them from taking over completely. The finally topic is
