When finding an ideal college, many students who are considering the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, think about what their college experience will be like. Many think about having the perfect study place such as the lounge or under a shady tree, the difficultness of the classes, the friends that will last you a lifetime, decorating their dorm room, and being involved in the 90+ events that take place on UNCP’s campus. All of those values are taken in account after searching our school website. It also shows the factors and values that students look for when making UNCP their home. Although this image promotes sociability, it misleads prospective students and parents that UNCP is not a place that takes its studies seriously. Many of these students and parents will assume that UNCP students are too easygoing and not focused on studying for classes, However, this is surely not the case; 90% of students who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke are employed 12 months after graduation or continuing their education by entering graduate school. UNCP is a school that cares so much about its students that they have designated tutors for students who need help in certain classes and courses. UNCP also provides a study room on each floor of every residence hall. With the 90+ events and 80+ organizations, UNCP keeps its students involved around campus, encourages each and every student to make a difference and to “Dare to be Brave”. By receiving the wrong meaning, it could lead prospective students and parents to deter from attending UNCP. By leading astray its prospective students, they also lead astray the future doctors, lawyers, teachers and businessmen who could graduate from UNCP with a degree. To persuade prospective students and parents fully that UNCP is a place for them they will need to see the many learning opportunities that UNCP provides for its students. Parents need to feel comfortable in trusting that their child will be receiving the proper education. Prospective students need to feel relieved and confident that they will have a professor to go to during office hours, and a tutor to go to when uncertain of the materials They will need
