Throughout this Spring Semester we discussed many different social justice issues all completely different, but none the less important. Our class adapted a learning through discussion type of approach; rather than being lectured for three hours we all discussed different topics, had debates, asked questions, stated our opinions on controversial topics, etc. The class was intriguing making it one of my favorite classes to go to. A couple of the topics we discussed were human and sex trafficking, the difference between internalized dominance versus internalizing oppression, discrimination and racism.

Kutcher’s organization has not only helped stop human trafficking, but it has raised awareness through out the world using social media. They have rescued over 6,000 trafficking victims. They have determined that three out of every four victims are trafficked online. They also established that sixty three percent of sex trafficking victims were advertised online, and forty-two percent of sextrotion victims met perpetrators online.
He is an advocated against human trafficking and has used his fame to his advantage and has continuously been speaking on his cause and publicizing it every chance he gets. This has made a great impact on his cause and making people more aware of what is happenings, and informing them on what they can do to help prevent and fight against human trafficking.
Oppression is considered to be ideological and the dominant ideas of society. The
“isms” can be translated into racism, agism, sexism, etc. Then there where two ideas we talked

It is little things like that, that make it make it more seem more acceptable to oppress minorities because law enforcement is doing it.
Discrimination seems to be an issue only our species as humans has to deal with.
Discrimination is common in all of society. Weather it be intentional or not, people seem to discriminate against each other. It is something that seems to come naturally to us, although I do believe it has a lot to do with our upbringing as well. I also don't think that discrimination is something bad until we intentionally base our actions on prejudice and hate towards another. The constant battle to end discrimination has been an ongoing process and in order for us to truly abolish it, we must learn to understand the different types of discrimination that exists, what causes discrimination, and what can we do to stop it.
Racism is considered to be discrimination against people of color. It is distinguishing the differences between human being. Which seems to be what most people think of of first when speaking of discrimination. When I was younger my sister refused to sit near a black girl
