The Office of Social Justice and Activism wanted a new program to replace the Tunnel of Oppression since the “tunnel” was no longer allowed to be used. With their help, I created a one-week event called, Social Justice Week. Everyday a new topic was covered. We stated on Monday, March 20 with Suzanne Ashworth talking about Gender Diversity. On Tuesday, we had The Promise House, Otterbein Alumni Zach Reat, and Barbra McKenzie speaking on Poverty and Class. On Wednesday, we had Judy Guion-Utsler and The Ally Project speaking on How to be an Ally. On Thursday, we had a very special guest…Vernon Pack Scholar-in-Residence 2017 Bryonn Bain.
