I picked the social norm that people take away their water bottle, popcorn corn boxes or boxes people use when eating food or snacks at any types of shows or sport events. I picked this social norm because many people believe that it is rude to not to take away their trashes after a show, and I agree with this belief. However, there are numbers of people who do not follow this social norm, we can simply see them after a certain event for example: after every University of Arizona football home game, there are thousands of water bottles, taco boxes left on the ground at the football stadium. I know this fact because after every football games I stay to clean up the stadium with the group of people. People may think they do not have to do this because some one will pick it up for them.…

Regarding transcultural nursing care among vulnerable populations, I chose to study beliefs, values, and behaviors of Muslim patients with diabetes, particularly during fasting in Ramadan. The reasons for selecting to study the cultural and religious beliefs of Muslim patients are 1) I live in Dearborn, Michigan which is a large community of Arab-American community, 2) Muslim people is a minority ethnic group in Thailand, and 3) this month is a Ramadan which is a holy month of fasting for Muslims. Since I am a Buddhist and have no idea regarding Islam culture and beliefs, I am keen on to explore and understand the distinct perspectives of this religion. According to my topic of interest, I used the concepts of Leventhal’s model as points of departure to formulate interview questions and listen to the interviewees.…

The Racial Contract So the story has been told, it has been agreed upon by many, and the origins of a civil polity is as follows: In the beginning, humanity lived in a horrible state of nature. Man wandered hither, taking from here, and taking from there. All around, you could examine a pure, and unadulterated state of chaos. To your left, you could see one hunting a buffalo, and in the next, the kill is stolen by another.…

Internet has helped us in all aspects but everything has its negative side.…

The emergence of contemporary research and training for social justice have progressively expanded, transformed, and revolutionized the counseling field from 2000 to the present (Hunsaker, 2011). This has significant implications for the counseling profession. For example, social justice awareness and advocacy in the counseling field has created an institutionalized alliance to the social justice movement through experts, such as Ratt (2008), Palmer and Parish (2008) addressing the challenges of individual justice and equitable distribution. The result of this is that counselors can generate awareness and teach self-advocacy, thereby empowering clients.…
