In order for American public schools to meet the changing needs of 21st century students, lead educators and administrators must reassess current practices and accepted pedagogies to include consideration for factors which may be considered difficult or uncomfortable. The American paradigm is in a critical stage of flux bridging vast shifts in technology, globalism, and social upheaval of the 20th century with what amounts to sheer acceleration of these same forces as the nation barrels through the first decades of the 21st century.
