The social and medical impact of breastfeeding cannot be depreciated. Breastfeeding decreases the occurrence of certain cancers and obesity later in life. These benefits have the potential to save the country millions of dollars in health care in the future. Collectively, we should focus on larger issues that need to be publicized rather than to waste money, and time on the issue of breastfeeding in public.
